Ireland Hotels - 6 Reasons Why They're a Good Choice in 2009

It's not too late yet for that New Year's resolution! So why not resolve to stay in an Irish hotel some time in 2009? Enjoy gastronomical feasts created from home grown produce at in-house restaurants, the possibility of stumbling upon a traditional music session in the hotel bar, top class accommodation, and the best bit, value for money as prices have fallen considerably.

· As opposed to any other type of accommodation, self catering excluded, a hotel provides great freedom. You'll have your own key so you can come and go as you please.

· Irish hotels have so much to offer customers. Most have dropped their prices considerably since last season. Look out for tailored packages, for example, 2 nights bed and breakfast and 1 dinner, discounts for children and also whether or not breakfast is included in your hotel of choice.

· Then of course, we have location, location, location! The rugged beauty of the Irish coastline offers some of the world's most spectacular vistas, and you have some stunning mountain ranges as well - not bad for a backdrop! Add to this an array of lakes, rivers, and waterfalls and you're guaranteed to capture that fabulous holiday snap!

· Being an agricultural nation, there's no shortage of fresh home grown produce and our Irish hotels certainly know how to take advantage of this. Dine in at your hotel and experience some mouth-watering traditional meals or indeed sample dishes that the chef has put his/her own personal slant on.

· Irish hotels offer a variety of accommodation, from the budget 1 star to sumptuous 5 star luxury. Hotels offer the following accommodation options, room only basis, room including breakfast and per person sharing. Why not push the boat out and book a hotel that has a spa or leisure centre. Whatever grade accommodation you choose you'll be comfortable in the knowledge that it has been approved by Tourism Accommodation Management Service (TAMS - the approval body for Fáilte Ireland).

· You could basically have it all at your hotel! Check out the residents bar for entertainment, you could happen upon a trad music session - always a great night. However, if there's no nightly entertainment at your hotel, just have a word with the Receptionist, who will be able to point you in the right direction. Some hotels offer a kids club, a great idea for the children while you indulge in a well-deserved treatment at the spa.

So why not give Irish hotels a chance? You'll be pleasantly surprised by what's on offer.
