Darjeeling Sikkim Trekking

Nubra Valley Trekking
Nubra valley trekking is a recent addition to the trekking map of India. It is situated in north of Leh and the average altitude of the valley is about 10,000 feet. A relatively short trek, mostly follows good trails between villages. Though the trek route is easy, trekking at altitudes above 4000 meter makes it demanding even for the fit hikers and is quite challenging. Features of Nubra valley trekking are the monasteries of Leh, view of the Karakoram peaks and the double humped Bactarian Camels.

Kalindi Khal Trekking
Kalindi khal is a recently opened challenging trek and is one of the finest in the Himalayas. Stunning high level trek from Garhwal into Kumaon following a pilgrims trail to the source of river Ganges at Gaumukh offers magical views of some of India's highest peaks which includes Shivling, Bhagirathi and Satopanth. Trekking on this route can be a bit strenuous because of the high altitude. The altitude of Kalindi Khal is close to 6000m.

Nanda Devi
One of the highest mountain peak of India, Nanda Devi (7817 m) is in the state of Uttaranchal. Very beautiful trek, Nanda Devi is rarely visited by other trekkers. The route follows the ancient trade route which offers very good walking conditions. To cross several passes during the trek makes Nanda Devi trekking trip a challenging one.

Markha Valley Trek
This route offers spectacular views of the Great Himalayan, Ladakh and Zanskar ranges. Markha valley trekking takes high into the Himalayas crossing over two passes, Ganda La and Kangmaru La at an altitude of 4850 m and 5306 m respectively. Markha valley trek is graded strenuous and is advised only for the physically fit and experienced trekkers. Feature of this trek is the visit to Hemis monastery, one of the oldest and most famous monasteries of Ladakh.

There are many more trek paths for the adventure lovers such as Valley of Flower trek, Kuari Pass, Stok Kangri, Pindari Glacier and Namik glacier trek. Best time for taking up the trekking tours in India is April to June and September to November.
